For the Turkish lentil soup ingredients, we've mentioned what you'll need in our Turkish lentil soup video. We show you how to prepare Turkish lentil soup at home from scratch and it's a lot easier than you think. Soups were served in clay vessels back in the olden days and evidence of the first soup bowl was found in ancient China, tracing back to the 20,000 B.C. Warm soups were served first before main meals as the liquids helped in the secretion of stomach acids and bile. This would make it easier to assimilate the nutrients obtained from the following meals. You can also add mushrooms and grated cheese to our Turkish lentil soup recipe if you're trying to make it more delightful for the kids.
