Heat oil in a pan on low flame, add the broken wheat and saute until toasted aroma is obtained. Do not burn.

Let the broken wheat cook completely, stir occasionally to avoid sticking to the bottom. (if required add some more water)

Simultaneously, chop dates and crush the cardamom pods. Clean and peel the mango, cut mango into cubes and set aside. As you notice the broken wheat is cooked, add chopped dates, cashew nuts, raisins and cardamom. Let it simmer on a low flame for 5-8 min.

As the dates get soft and cooked, add the jaggery powder and coconut milk. Mix well and simmer it for 2-3 min. Turn off the flame and let it cool down.

Once the pudding base is cooled down completely, mix in the mango cubes and refrigerate it.

When chilled it should have a semi thick consistency. It should not be too tight. Serve cold.
