What to expect from Meditation for Kids (7-8 years)?
Learn the basics: In the first pack, we will teach your kid the basics of meditation. We begin with meditation for 8 year olds on the sounds and vibrations of the humming sound. With 8 rounds of breathing in and humming by closing the mouth, focus on the vibrations of the humming sound. If done right, you will start to face a little numbness on the face and a sense of calm and relaxation.
Explore the body scan technique:
In the next session, we will explain the body scan meditation technique which is one of the most fundamental techniques in meditation by imagining a paint brush move over the different parts of the body. The objective of these meditation activities for kids here is to follow the paintbrush and not let your attention wander. As you follow the paintbrush around, you will begin to notice some sensations in the body.
Learn to visualize:
In the last meditation activities for kids, we focus on the mind. By using our innate ability of visualization, we imagine a calming and relaxing image of a tree. Help your child enter the world of meditation and embark on a journey of mindfulness today with our first session.
